The Central Florida Boating Association teaches hands-on boating lessons in Orlando with USCG-licensed captains. This is on-the-water powerboat training — not a classroom video. You take the helm and work docking, open water maneuvers, throttle control, and safe operation on the same lakes and rivers you’ll actually boat: Toho, Conway, Butler, Harris Chain, and the St. Johns.

Help keep lessons running.
Our community powerboat lessons stay donation-based so we can do two things at once: teach new boaters the skills behind the wheel, and help prevent a tragedy on the water.
Most close calls start with a skipper who never practiced docking, lookout, or what to do when another boat doesn’t yield. We put USCG-licensed captains with youth and adults on Central Florida lakes before that becomes the story. Your gift also supports the Waves of Hope Foundation.
Any amount helps. For example, your donation might give a teenager the chance to learn safe boating who otherwise never would — and that skill gets passed to younger siblings, friends, and the next kid they take out. For example, $300 funds a day of training for a group of teens in the Orlando area.
